"I am Christine A Muga Managing Director of Mt. Elgon Women in Speciality coffee ltd. (MTEWISCOF) I had passion to be in coffee industry after training as a cupper. I mobilised few women to join the company so that we can see a cociety that is healthy, productiveand prosperious in a more profitable manner and for sustainable development. Mt Elgon Speciality Coffee ltd, is a company regestered with Uganda Registration Bureau Reg No. 80020001147953.located in Kapchorwa (Eastern Uganda) along the slopes of Mt.Elgon and working with 15 farmer groups of which 224 are male and 438 are female. They grow coffee, wheat, barley, bananas etc. Our VISION -
A society which is happy productive and prosperous.

MISSION;
To promote economic employment of women through training advocacy and documentation to ensure that they are developing the society in sustainable healthy and profit motivated enterprises

OBJECTIVES;
1. To improve on the quality and productivity of coffee, access to information technology, market research ,use of certified agricultural inputs and improve on house hold incomes
2. Encourage communities on environment conservations and land use management in Mt Elgon sub-region
3. To facilitate linkages and influence structures and processes to ensure access and control over resources for increased food production and incomes
4. To advocate and encourage women to initiate savings and credit schemes for economic empowerment and sustainable development
Achievements: we produce high quality coffee, construction of biogases for our farmers, capacity buidling on land use management"
